NEW! FREE! “COMMUNITY DAYS”

Dec 27 – Jan 8 @ Frederiksted Pier

Roseway will be docked at the Frederiksted Pier and Word Ocean School crew will open the ship to the Frederiksted community in a free program “Community Days” while school is not in session during the holidays.

In groups of ten or less, students and families will be welcomed aboard in 45 minute intervals to participate in hands-on lessons like simple machines, buoyancy, navigation, or water quality, or simply learning the history of this historic landmark tall-ship.
The crew will tailor their teaching to the ages and interests of the group, and groups are welcome to return as many times as they’d like. The crew will be prioritizing children ages 8-12, though all are welcome!
These programs kick on on Dec 27th 1-4pm, and will be offered Monday through Friday, from December 28th through January 8th, from 9 am-3 pm.

To participate in Community Days with World Ocean School Dockside, participants will come to the Frederiksted Pier and meet the crew to sign up for a 45 minute time slot. DETAILS

Strict COVID protocols are in place, and all participants will be required to wear masks, sanitize their hands, complete a COVID exposure questionnaire, and get their temperature checked. The crew will disinfect stations in between groups and will be following the same COVID protocols to ensure the safety of all participants and crew members.
