1 cup gooseberries
2 cups Brown Sugar
Approx. 2 cups water
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp grated nutmeg
1 cinnamon stick
Directions:
Wash 1 cup of gooseberries and remove the stems. Then boil 2 cups of water, and add 2 cups of sugar. It is important you bring the mixture to a boil, then add 1 cup of gooseberries, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 tsp of grounded cloves, and 1 tsp of grated nutmeg. Lower the heat to medium and cook for approximately 20 minutes. Once the mixture begins to thicken, remove the cinnamon stick. You can then transfer the gooseberry stew to a sterile jar and wait for it to cool before eating. Mmmmm delicious!
