Meet Benny Demus – The Ultimate Entertainer

Benny Demus is an extremely talented person. When it comes to entertaining, he’s the man. Besides being Akon’s DJ for over 18 years, he is a musician, actor, screenwriter, producer, director, road manager for Jada Kingdom (Jamaican Artist), and R. City from St. Thomas. When does he sleep?

Benny, started off at an early age learning to be a DJ from his older brother. He loved anything that involved entertainment and the performing arts. He was very influenced by his mother who threw parties at their house for coworkers.

Benny is known for throwing great events. From Kickball to Bike riding at night, he just has a knack for taking something very simple that we enjoyed in childhood and turning it into something very special that brings people together, no matter race, religion, politics, or sexuality. He says with his trademark big infectious smile, “It’s all about everyone having fun!”

The idea for Loominate Night Bike Ride came to Benny when he saw the Disney Night Parade. Why not do something like this in the Virgin Islands but on bikes. After great success with Loominate in St. Thomas this past Summer, Benny decided to bring it to St. Croix. The big event happens December 18th at Canegata Ballpark from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Registered participants will get lights for their bikes and receive goody bags with t-shirts, water bottles etc. There may be a special guest giving away toys. It’s a great opportunity to have some family fun.
